In the completed building, the reason for using steel can be clearly seen in the structural parts where a steely, light appearance has been the aim of architectural design. Steel has also been used in structures where lightness was required due to structural reasons.

In the hotel passages, steel beams were chosen to ensure sufficient space for building system installations. Production technology has also favoured the use of steel. The tight building schedule and the cramped building site in the corner of busy streets, with practically no storing space, made it necessary to use prefabricated building parts that can be installed quickly.
