Close co-operation between departments

The wood element design of KPM-Engineering Oy focuses on the design of large building elements, precut elements and log structures, of which the large building elements represent over 70%. The company has utilities and software suitable for the design of wood element one family homes, and continuous development of software makes the designers´ work more efficient. The wood element department of KPM employs 13 professional designers.

The wood element department collaborates closely with other KPM departments. The wood structure design is also supported by the nail plate truss design department which provides precise information about the force factors of roof structures already at the start of the structural design.

In addition to collaboration between departments, KPM-Engineering Oy also collaborates with different building inspection authorities, and the exchange of information is constructive for both parties.
