The steel structure competence of FMC Group includes house building, industrial building, and design of steel frames for power plants, power lines, bridges and other engineering structures.
We have a strong design experience of steel bridges, masts, ship structures and other engineering structures. We use 3D design software representing the latest technology for structural analysis and workshop design. |

Prize-winning steel structure know-how
We have successfully participated in many building design and technology competitions. In 2008 we won a special FCSA award for the structural solutions in Entertainment Centre Flamingo. In 2006, the parts above ground level of the Kamppi Shopping centre won the Steel Construction award. In 2002 we won the Steel Construction award for the Arabianranta AV Education Centre, and in 2000 Kiinteistö Oy Itämerentori won the Steel Construction award.
We participated in the winning team of the MILJÖÖ 2000 house building technology competition organized by Finland´s environmental administration, City of Helsinki, and Tekes. The winning object, a steel-framed residential building, is located in Herttoniemi in Helsinki.
