KPM-Engineering Oy is an all-round design company producing technical engineering design for the building industry, as well as the machine, equipment, plant, and shipbuilding industry.

Our employees are technicians, engineers and M.Sc. with a technical education. We employ approximately 80 people in our offices in Tampere and Kuopio.

Successful engineering in Finland and abroad

Most of the KPM-Engineering Oy structural design objects are industrial and commercial buildings in Finland and abroad. As building of one family homes has increased, our wood construction department has been growing rapidly, with Finnish wood element and log house companies as our customers.

The machine and equipment designers have normally worked at the customers´ sites, as part of their own design groups. Plant design is typically steel frame, pipe system and smoke stack design of boiler plants, where the compatibility of the steel frame and the process is evaluated in one single model comprising the entire plant (PDMS).

Quality in our operation

Since 2004, KPM-Engineering Oy has applied a certified quality system according to RAKLI-SKOL-ATL requirements. The quality is used for controlling the operation and implementing the best practices in the entire company.

The quality system approval certificate comprises ship and marine technology (LMT), HEPAC technology (LVI), structural technology (RAK), factory and plant design (TEH), as well as research and development (TUK). At the end of 2009 new additional areas were included, architecture (ARK) and development and property management (RAP).
